Do you bring your own supplies and equipment?
At House & Shop Appliances, we come fully equipped with all the tools and parts needed for your appliance repairs and installations. If you have any specific preferences or requirements for certain tools or parts, we are happy to accommodate them to ensure your complete satisfaction.
What We Do
The only tasks not included are those you don’t request and that aren’t part of our standard Service Checklist. As long as an appliance repair, installation, or maintenance task is needed, accessible, and listed, we will complete it. If there’s something not on the list that you’d like done, just let us know. We are here to handle the appliance services you need, not just what appears on the checklist.
Is there a cancelation fee?
At House & Shop Appliances, we strive to accommodate our clients’ schedules with flexibility. If you need to cancel a service appointment, please note the following:
No charge will be applied if you cancel at least 4 days before your scheduled appointment.
Cancellations made 3 days prior will incur a fee of 25% of the original service cost.
Cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment will result in a charge of 60% of the service cost.
This policy helps us manage scheduling efficiently and ensures fair compensation for the time reserved for your appliance service. When an appointment is canceled without sufficient notice, it prevents us from offering that slot to another client, resulting in a loss of potential work. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Is there an estimate fee?
At House & Shop Appliances, we understand the importance of clear and accurate service estimates. For initial quotes provided online or over the phone, we offer our time completely free of charge. As a dedicated local business, we want to ensure you receive the best possible estimate at no cost.
For in-person estimates that involve actual expenses, such as travel, we charge £30 to cover these costs. However, if you choose to engage our services, this fee will be credited toward your first service, effectively making the estimate free.

Preferred Scenario: We generally recommend that you are not on-site while we handle your appliance repairs. This allows our team to work efficiently without interruptions and ensures every task is completed to the highest standard.
Understanding Your Preferences: We understand that some clients prefer to be present until trust is established or for other reasons. If you’d like to stay on-site, that’s perfectly fine. After all, it’s your home or business, and the choice is entirely yours.
Whether you’re there to observe the process or prefer to return to fully repaired and well-functioning appliances, we are here to accommodate your needs.
What if I'm not satisfied with the work done?
